The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) award function 2018-19 was held on 8th February, 2020. The Honourable Union Minister of Women & Child Development and Textiles, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani graced the event to present the awards to the winners.
Grasim Industries Limited Unit – Indian Rayon, won the SRTEPC Gold Trophy for Best Export Performance in ‘Continuous Viscose Yarn’ category 2018-19. The company has consistently remained the highest exporter of viscose filament yarn manufacturing from India over the years catering to over 45 countries globally and has always won the Gold Award in this category for several years now.
Shailendra Pandey, Joint President & Chief Marketing Officer, indicates that while the demand for viscose filament yarns is growing in India, the company will continue to have a global outlook and cater to countries that import viscose filament yarns for premium and high end applications.
Harish Maheshwari, Export Head, shared that “through our concerted efforts, we have consistently been able to increase our customer base globally and is appreciated for our value added products into premium segments”.
